Max Sisson

October 12, 1968 - March 2, 2010

Maxie Shane Sisson, 41, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Church in the Wildwood in Sagle. Following the service will be a potluck celebration of his life at Garfield Bay. Viewing will be Saturday morning from 8-11am at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint.

Max was born in Weiser, Idaho, on Oct. 12, 1968, to Brent and Eileen Sisson.
Max spent his early childhood in Colorado and Idaho. He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1987. Later he lived in Montana and took the small town of Florence by storm. Max spent the final time in his life at his home in Sagle, Idaho, shadowed by the beautiful, forested hills of his grandfather's ranch.

Max worked in the carpentry and general maintenance fields, sometimes paid but mostly just volunteered. This was who Max was and how he lived his life. His benevolence and altruism were unmatched. He made friends easily and cared deeply for those he loved. If a favor was asked of him, he would go above and beyond to satisfy the request. If a stranger needed help, Max would give his last dime. Twice he saved someone's life without hesitation or any fear for his own safety.

Max, aka Mad Max or Maximillian, had many adventures in his short lifetime, and his presence was bigger than life. Many stories will be told for the years to come. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to have a good laugh. His laugh will ring in our memories. He was an "uncle" to many children and had an amazing following of young souls. He lived simply, yet had a bountiful life full of friends and family who loved him dearly.

His memory will be carried on by his parents, Brent and Eileen Sisson; his brother, Bryan Sisson; his sister, Alissa McGonigal and her husband Dennis McGonigal; his niece, Gabrielle; his nephews, Jacoby, Sam, and Ayden; and many good friends and extended family whom he loved very much.
