Biography
Alexis Victoria Johnson, 84, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with the Rev JP Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Seneacquoteen Cemetery.
Alexis was born on June 4, 1928 in New York, NY to Fred and Lexie Goodland. She grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland. After her schooling she moved back to New York where she lived with her aunt while she worked.
Alexis married Roy Johnson on January 22, 1954 in South Carolina. The couple made their home in Santa Ana, CA. Alexis worked for the Good Oil Co, and later as a supervisor for EECO. In 1994 the family moved to Sawyer, ID.
Alexis was a member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking, attending church, making jams and jellies, but most importantly she loved her grandson’s greatly.
She is survived by her husband Roy Johnson of Sagle, ID; daughter Delyce (Chuck) Sloan of Garden Grove, CA; two grandsons Jason Sloan of Huntington Beach, CA and Kevin Sloan of Garden Grove, CA; three sister-in-law’s Mary Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Joyce (Gene) Crabb of Superior, MT, and Ida Draper of Rathdrum, ID; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother John Jones.
