Biography

L. Naomi Hagadone, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Naomi was born on December 11, 1922 in Philipsburg, Montana to George and Lillian Ham. When she was 2 years old the family relocated to Bonner County, where she resided for the rest of her life, other than a brief time when she attended beauty school in Spokane.

Naomi married John Hagadone in 1939 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They owned and operated Sandpoint Furniture Company from 1946 until 1973, when they retired to their cabin on the lake in Sagle, Idaho. They then enjoyed several years of traveling and golfing with friends.

Naomi was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Bonner General Hospital Auxiliary and a supporter of Monarch House. She was very active in the Elks ladies golf league and enjoyed tennis, golf, fishing, reading, picking huckleberries, playing cards and a good game of scrabble, and spending time on Lake Pend Oreille. She enjoyed giving to various local organizations, but always anonymously.

She is survived by her two daughters Pat (Jack) McDonnell of Sandpoint and Judie Conlan of Sandpoint, one son Jon Hagadone (Vicki Reich) of Sagle, 7 grandchildren; Kim (Doug) Bond of Sagle, Johnna (Kealand) Ramsey of Sandpoint, Tim (Perel) McDonnell of Sandpoint, Jan (Heidi) Roberts of Seaside, Oregon, Chris Conlan (Stephanie Lohnes) of Sandpoint, Zach (Danielle) Hagadone of Sandpoint, and Jake Hagadone of Sandpoint; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, two sisters, Emma Martin and Lucille Bottcher, and her brother Ed Ham.
